About Avian Skies
Capt. Will and Jennifer Granberry are the owners of Avian Skies.
Avian Skies, LLC was created to provide a world class wing shooting or fishing opportunity on the Texas Gulf Coast without the client being taken advantage of financially, "run through the cattle chute", or having to deal with "bad/rude" guides. We take great pride in the fact that an enjoyable experience will be remembered and taken home after a trip with Avian Skies, LLC.
Capt. Will Granberry attended Texas Tech University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Management. He then completed his credentialing and sea time to become a licensed US Coast Guard Captain (License No 227006).
It was during this time that he started professionally guiding. Additionally, between guiding and completing his education he also traveled and published scientific research conducted in Alaska, Wyoming, Arizona, and Texas. He and his wife then ended up settling down in the rural community of Edna, Texas where they are raising a wonderful family that all enjoy hunting, fishing, and shooting.
As a hobby, Captain Will participates in competion waterfowl calling and has enjoyed success on both the State and World stages. His most recent achievements include placing 1st in the 2011 Texas State Individual Snow Goose, Texas State Team Snow Goose, Texas State Sandhill Crane, and Texas State Team Specklebelly Goose contest.
Capt. Will's accomplishments as a professional waterfowl and fishing guide directly translates into success during your trip! He was raised with an appreciation for the outdoors and an understanding that people want to make the most of their recreational opportunity. He works hard for his customers and genuinely cares about the success they have on an Avain Skies trip.
